I’ve read today an article in BBC.com about something that I really didn’t think about until now. The concept of AI is changing.
The initial concept was about intelligence becoming a characteristic of an artificial entity like a computer or a robot. That intelligence meant the capability of the machine being able of creating new mental processes based in knowledge that the machine already had.
Nowadays, however, it’s more likely to be an artificial knowledge base than AI. Machines learn and behave according to the knowledge passed to it without adding anything new to that knowledge base. If something happens, the machine is going to look for a similar situation in it’s database and react according with what’s been done before.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some projects in this field that are still developing the capabilities of the machines to learn by themselves, and they’re very interesting projects, but for the most part, the AI term is being used when, in my opinion, would be more advisable to use a term like artificial knowledge base (AKB) or something like that.
These are just my two cents.

This is the trailer for the acclaimed mmofps Planetside 2.
This is an awesome game, it’s a lot of fun, but I would recommend new players to find a PS2 veteran to help them out, since the game has a bit of a steep learning curve.
The first hour of gameplay might be a bit overwhelming, not only because of the great graphics and all the detail of the PS2 vast continents, but mainly because of the difficulty of maintaining yourself alive for more than a few seconds.
The Oscar Winner Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook) is a breath of fresh air in the acting scene. Praised by millions around the world, this beauty from Kentucky marvels everyone, not only because of her talent at such a young age, but also because of her quirky personality. Personally, I’m a fan.
Some of her most famous parts were on The Hunger Games where she played leading actress (Katniss Everdeen) and the X-Men: First Class where she played Mystique. She also plays Rosalyn Rosenfeld in American Hustle which is coming soon to the movie theaters. The hype about this flick is already high and many people expect another great performance by Jennifer Lawrence.
Jennifer was praised in several media: Rolling Stone called her “the most talented young actress in America“, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world and she ranked Nº1 on AskMen’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women of the Year. No surprise there.

This meme’s about a situation where “Brian” tries to accomplish something but then something horribly unlucky happens.
There is some kind of variation in the first sentence of the meme, sometimes the action is about something that could be interpreted as “Win” like in the picture above. He escaped harmless from a burning building, but then gets hit by a firetruck in a classic “Bad Luck Brian” situation. But you can also find it describing a normal routine that goes horribly wrong.
